We live in a chaotic, sometimes frightening world. The creators of SafetyPin set out to help demystify and inform users of potential peril near them. They created a way to aggregate safety-based news based on the GPS on your phone. A car break in 2 blocks from your house? You'll hear about it. A riot downtown? You can reschedule your appointment for another time. You can also utilize various filters like searching for known sex offenders near you, adding specific cities or even linking to friends or family's phone to help keep them safe. It was a great concept, but they needed me to create a name and a brand to back it up. The name was derived from the notion of keeping your friends and family "Safe" by utilizing the GPS "Pin" drop via your phone. Hence - SafetyPin. I also helped concept and design many features included and the interface as shown in the samples below.
