Children's Hospital Los Angeles is one of the premier children's hospitals in the country - having ranked in the top 10 nationally for the last 8 years. Regardless of our stellar reputation, HR was having difficulties recruiting nurses. I decided to take a novel approach with pictures of our real patients combined with cute, anecdotal statements like "Our benefits package includes, hugs, tears of joy and thank-you notes written in crayon." to inspire potential hires to join our team.
